Ella Gorgla
Ms. Gorgla has carved out a successful consulting career with some of the nation’s leading firms including Ernst & Young, IBM Global Services and Arthur Andersen Consulting. Ms. Gorgla has advised clients in the Investment Banking, Health Care, Retail and Manufacturing sectors. Her core areas of expertise include Business Growth & Corporate Strategy, Contracts & Negotiations, Risk Management, Outsourcing & Cost Reduction, Strategic Planning and Economic Development. Ms. Gorgla received her BS in Engineering from The Ohio State University with academic honors, MBA from Columbia Business School and a Masters from London Business School with additional studies at Yale University. An avid traveler, Ms. Gorgla has visited over 15 countries including China, South Africa, Senegal, Morocco, Italy, Spain, France and spent a portion of her childhood in Liberia.
Taa WongbeTaa Wongbe is a seasoned entrepreneur. As the co-founder of Pangean Technology, an award-winning technology company that provides communications solutions to Fortune 500 companies, his experience has covered a wide range of information technology and communications-related industries. He has also worked with numerous senior management teams on issues of technology and communications strategy, organization performance and process development. Mr. Wongbe is also the founder of the Global Alliance for Technology & Education (GATE) in Africa, a non profit that helps children in Africa learn about technology. Most recently, he founded Lunchtimedeals.com, a website that provides mobile advertisement to restaurants by delivering interactive mobile coupons to its community of users. He has consulted and served as chief architect on projects for major companies, including Deloitte & Touche, EDS, and Cisco.
Benoni Schall
Benoni currently works as the Group Internal Audit Manager at Standard Chartered Bank and chairs the Budget & Finance Committee for the GATE to Africa. He recently worked as a consultant at Deloitte & Touché and was an Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch & Co. Benoni received his BS in Operations and Information Systems Management Penn State University. In addition, he also completed his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Saint Peter’s College.
Miamah RichardsMs. Richards currently works in the financial services sector, with extensive work experience with multinationals such as J.P Morgan. She holds extensive knowledge of entertainment, private and non-governmental sectors in both Africa and the United States. Ms. Richards obtained her Masters (MA) in International Relations from the City University of New York and a double Bachelor’s (BA) in Political Science and African Studies from The University of Albany in New York. Miamah is a member of the Microfinance Club of New York and a Board member of the Lagos-based Pan-African Strategic and Policy Research Group (PanAFSTRAG). She has lived and worked in the U.S, Nigeria and Geneva, Switzerland.
